Personally the whole movie felt like it was building up to a confrontation that never happens. Still enjoyed it, but the ending was lackluster.
No doubt. You can tell they had a lot more in mind. I do wish the Kickstarter had gotten the 1mil needed for a feature length version of this.
As it stands, it works as a great prelude IMO. This story and execution is crazy enough to have a market I think. I really hope that this helps Sandberg find the resources to flesh this out into a full movie or maybe even a few episodes of a mini-series.
The ending was totally evocative of how many 80’s films would end, with the supposedly vanquished villain appearing just prior to the credits to set up/tease a sequel. I loved it.
Also, if it leads into a series, or if Grod wills it a film, then all the better. I kinda felt like it left the door open for either of those things to happen, so I’m good with the way it all went down. 😀
