Coming Down the Pike – May 2019 Game Releases

While there does seem to be a lit­tle some­thing for every­body com­ing this month for var­i­ous sys­tems, there are re­al­ly just three stand outs for me personally.

Yakuza Kiwami 2, Team Sonic Racing and Total War: Three Kingdoms.

While I still need to get to some of the ear­li­er Yakuza games, a ti­tle like Total War: Three Kingdoms seems like a game that is custom-built for me to be ex­cit­ed about day one. A Total War game set in one of my fa­vorite semi-historic times? Do you know how much Romance of the Three Kingdoms I’ve played? Booooooooooy.

Team Sonic Racing is go­ing to just be pure fun on a bun. Team Sumo has­n’t let us down yet, we loved All-Stars Racing, so we doubt they will drop the soap here. I know some folks are dis­ap­point­ed that it is­n’t an­oth­er All-Stars based kart ti­tle, but I am sure that Team Sonic Racing will more than make up for it in the game play de­part­ment. Nothing per­son­al, kid.

While I can see some folks look­ing for­ward to RAGE 2, that is cer­tain­ly not on my must play list. It’s clos­er to my, “Oh I will play even­tu­al­ly” pile. Which grows month by month.

Something to keep an eye on if you en­joy ty­coon games is Rise of Industry. It’s been in Early Access for a time, but if you ig­nore games in that state then hav­ing a nice look­ing one exit Early Access may be worth putting on your radar.
